Making Chill Lofi from Jazz Samples on the SP404 MKII | 404 Day Flip

Happy 404 day! It’s been a year since I began my adventures with samplers and namely this machine, and what a year it’s been.

🎧Here’s a dusty beat I made over the rainy weekend with some jazz samples

Throughout 2022 I was dealing with tendon issues in my wrists, which left me unable to play my main instruments for longer than a couple minutes at a time. I bought an SP out of necessity to quickly capture those short bursts of creativity and expand upon them without injuring myself further. I never thought I’d become so connected to this workflow and it’s helped me connect with so many of you on social media and YouTube.
