SP404 MK2 and a Synth Are All You Need to Make Beats // Portable Dawless Setup Breakdown

I recently got a Mackie Mix8 mixer to create a sub mix for all of my synths enabling me to send 5 synths into the SP404 instead of 1 to 2. While it works great for that, today I used the mixer for it's fx aux channel and the EQ/gain staging to create a gritty boom bap track with just the SP and Volca FM. I had a lot of fun making this one and not worrying to much about getting notes on the grid, just capturing the moment as it was. I love this portable dawless setup and think the limitations are a great recipe for better beats!
